Q: If someone were a practitioner of Bioenergetics or some other Reichian form, how would they introduce the ideas of Self Acceptance Training?
Dick: By facilitating people to feel all of those feelings and insights which come up in the course of the work without evaluating them, without judging them. This simple principle of avoiding the judge, or avoiding the evaluator, is absolutely central to the whole process. And, you see, it is possible to take that value, the value of being judgmental of other people. We are talking about self-evaluation and self-judgment. You see, I can be judgmental of other people and do it whole-heartedly, and be whole as I'm doing that. Not that it is a good thing to be judgmental of other people, but it is the self-judgment which causes the split.
